Personality (tendency to worry, negative outlook on life, excessive self-criticism or low self-esteem).

Childhood trauma or abuse.

Excessive consumption of alcohol or drugs.

The Consequences of Mentally Easily Desperate and Depression

  • Psychotherapy – consulting a therapist can provide the techniques and strategies needed to manage symptoms. Therapy can also help prevent recurrence.
  • Antidepressant medication - especially if the patient is facing suicidal or aggressive thoughts. However, although medications may be helpful for some patients, they are not a long-term solution. In addition, the administration of antidepressants is accompanied by other side effects and disadvantages.
  • Self-help – for many people, regular exercise improves mood. Getting a good night's sleep, eating a healthy diet and avoiding alcohol (which has a depressant effect) can also help reduce symptoms.
